The Fourteenth Annual Conference on Computational Learning Theory (COLT 2001) will be held jointly with the Fifth European Conference on Computational Learning Theory from Monday, July 16 through Thursday July 19, 2001. The technical sessions will be held in the Trippenhuis, (home of the Dutch Royal Academy of Sciences), a beautiful 17th century building at a canal in the Amsterdam city centre.
We reserved a block of rooms, at special rates, at the CASA 400 hotel. People who prefer to stay in the city centre (old town) are advised to make hotel reservations as soon as possible, since July is high season and hotels tend to fill up many months in advance. For a list of Amsterdam hotels, see
http://hotelguide.net/amsterdam/ or here or (for more economic options) click here or surf the links below.

And here is something about the Netherlands.
Information about getting to Amsterdam, getting to the conference venue and the Casa hotel and how to get from one to the other is on the page with transportation information.
